Cakaudrove East Kaji are not in Suva to make up the numbers. They are set out to win the Under-13 grade in the 2017 Rewa Galaxy Kaji Rugby tournament which started yesterday at the ANZ Stadium, Suva.

Coach Manasa Bulisovasova said they want to pick up from where they left off last year which was cancelled after one day due to the wet weather.

“We have been doing well and we want to continue doing that,” Bulisovasova said.

“We have been camping back in our school in Vanua Levu and meeting every Saturday to train together a team.

“For us, travelling such a long way just to be part of this competition means something to us. We are not just coming here to compete but to win.

“Last year, we won all our pool games but due to the bad weather we couldn’t progress because the tournament got cancelled.

“This year we want to finish off what we started and aim to reach the knockout stages and possibly the final as well.”
