Coach Happy With Tagimoucia Ruggers’ Performance

The Taveuni based rugby team, Tagimoucia Ruggers are anticipating a good outing in the 2017 Rewa Galaxy Kaji Rugby tournament.
They are set to win the Under 10 grade this year after they defeated Cakaudrove East 7-0 in their first game at the ANZ Stadium, yesterday.
Coach Onisivoro Naiqai was overwhelmed with the boys’ performance in their first game and hope they continue with the winning momentum.
“Our main expectation for participating in this year’s competition is to win the Under 10 grade,” Naiqai said.
“We arrived on Monday in Suva and for most of the players this is their first time travelling so most of them are not feeling well.
“I am happy despite all that they managed to pick up and perform.
“My U-10 grade had played against Cakaudrove East and they defeated the side 7-0 while the U-9 played against Namosi central which was a draw.
“One of the greatest experience for the players is that for most of them it is their first time playing in front of a big crowd and I could tell they were a bit nervous in their first game.
“This year we have filled in all the grades starting from U9-14 which comprises of students from the various primary schools in Taveuni.
“We would like to thank the organisers of this tournament, Rewa Galaxy Kaji Rugby for their financial support and also to our parents, teachers and supporters who have accompanied the participants for the tournament”
