Suva Grammar Wins U19 Title After 4 Years

Suva Grammar School won the Under-19 Fiji Secondary School netball tournament beating Jasper Williams High School 14-12 at Subrail Park in Labasa last night.
The school’s U-15 girls’ team also won the final after defeating Saint Joseph’s Secondary School 13-7.
Suva Grammar School U-19 coach Ana Puamau said the last time they won this tournament was in 2012.
“I would like to thank the players for working so hard.
“They carried out so many fundraising activities to be in Labasa,” Puamau said.
“We would like to thank all those who supported us like Aaron Aric Marketing for providing players with their uniforms and Labasa and Savusavu ex-scholars for their friendly service.”
Jasper Williams High School U-19 coach Alena Laqai said it was a good game.
“Unfortunately we didn’t prepare well, however, I would like to thank the girls for trying their best,” Laqai said.
Nadi Muslim College won the men’s open grade after defeating Labasa College 15-9. In the girls U-17 grade Adi Cakobau School defeated Jasper Williams High School 18-15.
The girls’ from Sawani also took out the girls open grade title defeating Nabala Secondary School 18-14.
