Member of Parliament Balmindar Singh yesterday pleaded not guilty to two counts of driving infringements at the Magistrates Court of Nasinu.

Singh is facing a count each of dangerous driving and failure to supply sufficient breath analysis on the direction of a Police officer.

He appeared before Magistrate Sufia Humza.

It is alleged that Singh, on June 2, at Kings Road, Nakasi, drove a motor vehicle in a manner which was dangerous to the public.

It is also alleged that upon being required by a Police officer to provide a specimen of breath that would enable the analysis to be carried out, failed to provide the specimen.

Singh was represented by defence counsel Pauliasi Nawaikula and the state was represented by Police prosecutor constable Setareki Mocevakaca.

The case has been adjourned to November 22, to fix a hearing date.
