Housing Authority Wants Fijians To Own Homes

Housing Authority is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the purchase of residential lots at its upcoming housing subdivisions.

The new subdivisions includes the Nausori corridor, Nadi to Lautoka corridor, and the Tavua and Labasa subdivisions.

Housing Authority chief executive officer, Punit Sethi, said that preparatory works have already started through advertisements calling for Expressions of Interest.

The Expressions of Interest are for the construction of High Rise Strata Units at various subdivisions, pre-qualifications of contractors for the development of upcoming housing subdivisions at Koronisalusalu in Tavua, Covata in Labasa and Davuilevu and Nepani in the Central Division.

The team is working diligently to ensure that the subdivisions are developed according to the approved designs and industry standards.

“We are confident that it will provide more opportunities for Fijians to own decent and affordable homes in the near future,” Mr Sethi said.

The closing date for the submissions of EOI’s is October 17, 2017.

All EOI’s are to be done through the Property Demand Survey Form (PDSF) that are available at all Housing Authority Customer Relations Centres and can also be downloaded from the Authority’s website – www.housing.com.fj.

Mr Sethi said that customers who have previously filled the PDSF will also be required to submit and lodge fresh customer and financial details.

“It is important that this is done to ensure that the customer information is current and loan eligibility assessed accordingly,” he said..
