Many already know there’s nothing more important to a successful business dinner than choosing the right place.

For those in Labasa, there is one place they often go to and that is the Banana Leaf Restaurant.

It is easily located right in the town’s main street.

The Banana Leaf Restaurant is owned by Satish Kumar who is also the owner of Satish Motormart Limited and is the president of the Labasa Chamber of Commerce and Industries.

He said the restaurant was opened in 2012.

“Over the years the restaurant has become very popular.

“This was after successfully hosting several big business cocktail functions.”

Mr Kumar said the Banana Leaf Restaurant is very spacious having a total of 89 seats.

“If you looking for a place to have a talanoa session on a one-to-one basis or with a group under air-conditioned room then this is the best place to be.

“It is very clean and creamed with friendly staff,” he said.

“If business people are having a very busy day and looking for a quiet and cosy environment then this is the place for them.”

Mr Kumar said they’re known for serving the best Indian and Chinese dishes.

“We also invite couples who are looking for a place to wine and dine to come and try us out as well.”

The restaurant is opened on Mondays to Saturdays from 10am to 4pm and on Sundays from 6pm to 10pm.

“We always offer the best catering service as well.

And we always have a few secret dishes like Matala Fish and Lemon Fish, which people will only taste if they dine with us,” he added.
