Three teens pregnant following sexual assaults

Labasa Police Station has received yet another report within a month of a teenager being allegedly raped by multiple persons and left pregnant.
Police spokesperson Inspector Jokatama Qio said two weeks ago there was a report of an 11-year-old student of Labasa being four months pregnant.
“Early this week we received a report of a 16-year-old student who is 28 weeks pregnant,” Inspector Qio said.
Suspects
Four who are youths are currently being interviewed at Labasa Police Station.
“We are searching for two more suspects”, he said
“No one has been charged yet as the investigation continues.”
Inspector Qio said in the earlier case which had been reported, three men had been charged accordingly and had been produced at the Labasa Magistrate Court last week.
The three allegedly charged for rape were represented by Kohli and Singh Associates lawyer Ami Kohli.
They were released on bail with strict conditions.
The case has been transferred to the Labasa High Court.
