Funds For Beautification

Funds raised during the 2017 Vodafone Ba Riverside Carnival will be used for the beautification and conservation of the environment of the town.
Carnival chairperson Dr Maria Doton said, “This is to coincide with the carnival’s theme “Save the Environment.”
“The funds raised will be used for the beautification and the conservation of the environment,” she said.
The raising of the funds will be through the sponsors of Charity Queen, stalls and amusements at the grounds.
She earlier told this newspaper that the nine contestants vying for the titles of Miss Vodafone Ba Riverside 2017 and Miss Charity 2017 would have a very tough competition.
Vodafone –is the major sponsor for the week long pageant and co-sponsors are Fiji Broadcasting Corporation, BSP Bank and Fiji Airways who will be giving away two air tickets 1 x return trip to Singapore to Miss Ba Riverside Queen 2017 and 1 x return ticket to either Australia or New Zealand to Miss Charity 2017.
Other night sponsors this year are Roofing and Profiles Fiji Limited, Ba Motor Parts, Shop N Save Supermarkets, Pepsi (Tappoos), Vinod Patel and Company Limited, Dayal Quarries Limited and Bhai Builders.
The Queen Contestants are, Miss Magic Land Fiji, Shagufa Nazia, Miss Ba Town Council, Bulou Leon, Miss Gosal Distributors No.1, Letila Meri, Miss Singh’s Rental (Fiji) Ltd, Kelera Sauliga, Miss S.G. SEN Transport, Vani Soki Naboro, Miss Fiji Sugar Corporation, Sivoli Lia, Miss Ba Market Vendors Association Teupola Beitaki Waqabaca, Miss Civil Servants Adi Sisiana and Miss Vision Marketing, Sushmita Chand.
The event ends on Saturday with the crowning of the queen.
