Resealing Reduces Dust

Fiji Roads Authority hopes to reduce the dust nuisance for communities and improve travel experiences for commuters in their resealing programmes.
Lately the Baulevu road that was once a sealed road was deteriorating and the authority had to rip off the seal for resealing
According to the authority the resealing is for four and a half kilometres from the Kasavu and Kings Road intersection.
“Baulevu Road has three schools located along it and the road also serves the villages of Naganivatu, Nakini, Natoaika and Deladamanu,” the FRA release stated.
“The dust issue is a key challenge on unsealed roads across Fiji. Through the targeted sealing programme, Government and FRA hope to reduce the dust nuisance to communities.
“At least for now the residents of Baulevu can breathe a sigh of relief with more roads to follow in the future,” FRA stated.
