Chevening Awardee Tikoduadua Off To UK

An auditor with the Office of the Auditor General felt blessed to be awarded the United Kingdom Chevening scholarship.
The 34-year-old, Amalaini Tikoduadua of Taveuni, is one of the four scholars from Fiji to receive the UK scholarship.
Ms Tikoduadua will pursue her Master’s in Science majoring in international risk management and finance.
“What we do here is more on the risk management side, while we are heading towards the risk approach auditing,” Ms Tikoduadua said.
“And going to study risk management will further enhance my skills not just with my work but for the Government as a whole.
“I believe the skills, experiences and network that I will gain from the Chevening programme will help me to contribute back to the country,” Ms Tikoduadua said.
She said it was her first time to travel to the UK.
“The Chevening is a very highly competitive scholarship and I am fortunate to be able to study in the UK.
“My main motive is to study and gain as much knowledge as possible and help contribute my knowledge back in Fiji,” Ms Tikoduadua said.
