Senirusi Seruvakula will name his 26 players for the first two rounds of the Australia National Rugby Championship on Tuesday.

The team departs on Wednesday for the first game against the Brisbane City on Saturday in Ballymore.

The side had an intensive training session at the Bidesi Ground yesterday and they will travel to Nadi tomorrow.

“We had some physical session this morning and we are concentrating on our attack, defence, strength and conditioning as well as the clarity on our game pattern,” Seruvakula said.

“I will be naming the 26- member squad on Tuesday that will play in Brisbane and Melbourne and the players are looking forward to their next challenge.

“We are pleased to have a lot of senior and experienced players whose presence have boost the squad namely Joeli Veitayaki and Mosese Voka who was my captain during the Pacific Rugby Cup (PRC).”

Meanwhile, the 2017 NRC competition will be contested over nine rounds run for 11 weeks, with four games hosted in Fiji. The Fijian Drua second game is on September 9 against Melbourne Rising at the Harlequin Oval.

Fans of the Fijian Drua will see their heroes in action in Round 3 and 4 in their first home fixture against NSW Country Eagles at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka on September 16 and then against Perth Spirit on 23 September at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

Rounds 5 and 6 sees the team travelling back to Australia for their match against the Canberra Vikings on September 29 at Viking Park in Canberra and Greater Sydney Rams on October 7 at TG Millner Oval, Sydney.

Round 7 the team will be on bye, but rounds 8 and 9 sees them hosting QLD Country at Churchill Park in Lautoka on October 21 and Sydney Rays at the ANZ Stadium in Suva on October 28.
