Methodist Church Setting Course To Financial Security

The current church leadership is determined to change the financial status of the church to one that is self-funded in order to fulfill the church mission of doing God’s work.
They have looked to finance and management experts within the Church to steer the way.

Lako Yani Management became fully operational from January this year. Leading the team of five directors is former Managing Director of Fijian Holdings Limited, Sereana Qoro.

St. Fort Street, Suva.
They are tasked to manage valuable property the church owns in many parts of Fiji. They are to organise and direct the developments of church properties for maximum returns.
This ranges from islands suitable for tourism, agricultural, commercial and residential lots.
Earning from these properties has been described by the church as “negligible.”
Lako Yani Management asset base is held by the Methodist Church in Fiji Holding Trust (MCFHT). The trust owns 10 properties transferred to it by the church.
The Trust is managed by a seven-person board appointed by the Church.
