Repair, Maintenance Works Scheduled at Wailoa Substation On Sunday

The Fiji Electricity Authority (FEA) wishes to advise its valued customers that they will be carrying out repair and maintenance works at the 11kV/132kV Wailoa Substation and on the 132kV Nadarivatu to Wailoa transmission line.
In order to carry out the repairs and maintenance, FEA Engineers will de-energise the 132,000 volts transmission line from the Nadarivatu Switching Station to the Wailoa Substation.
This means FEA will not be able to transmit electricity from the Wailoa Power Stations to the Western Division. During this time, they will rely on the Nadarivatu Power Station and the Diesel Power Stations at Sigatoka, Qeleloa, Nadi, Vuda, and Rakiraki to supply electricity to the Western Division Customers from Namatakula to Waimicia in Rakaraki.
FEA personnel will carry out the repair and maintenance work from 3am to 5pm on Sunday August 27, 2017.
Customers in the Western Division may experience power supply outages in the event of a failure of any one of our generators or power.
FEA apologises for any inconvenience that may be caused as a result of this planned exercise and seeks the co-operation and understanding of all our valued customers.
