Team Ernst & Young won the Telecom Charity Ambrose Golf tournament at the Fiji Golf Club in Vatuwaqa yesterday.

In support of the Save the Children Fiji, Ernst & Young amassed 54.125 points followed by Team Solar Energy (54.50) while Tovata finished third (57.5).

The team comprised captain Eun hee Shon, Sikeli Tuinamuana, Tukai Tuivuna and Taitusi Tuivuci.

Tuinamuana was happy with the team’s achievement.

“We were not really expecting to win the tournament as our aim was just to enjoy ourselves and participate,” Tuinamuana said.

“This is the first time for the side to win the Ambrose golf event. We are just regular golf players.

“It was quite a challenge playing in wet underfoot condition. But I am glad the event for a worthy cause was played as scheduled.

“We were fortunate to have some professional players on the side which was really a boost for the side as they were accurate with their shots.

“For me personally, I feel it was actually a combined effort from each members respectively.

“I would like to thank the major sponsors of the tournament Telecom Fiji Limited and Save the Children’s Fund for organising such an event and we are grateful to be involved.”
