New Methodist Round Up Conference With Thanksgiving

The New Methodist Christian Fellowship church ended their weeklong church conference with a thanksgiving service at the ANZ National Stadium in Suva yesterday.
Thousands gathered throughout the whole week giving praise to God and marking another year of their commitment.
New Methodist Christian Fellowship general superintendent, Pastor Atunaisa Vulaono while speaking at the bible study course of the event encouraged the members and guests not to be concerned with what the people or the vanua would say but to worry about what the bible said.
He reminded them to search their hearts, be diligent and to speak the truth because speaking the truth would set one free.
Tom Nakat, Port Vila Senior Pastor, said members of the New Methodist church from Vanuatu came in to the country earlier before the conference started.
Pastor Nakat said they were one of the overseas region that came in large numbers and were very blessed that they paid their own fares to come over.
“We thank the Lord for being here just to praise his name as there were 31 members from Vanuatu who are here,” Pastor Nakat said.
He said that all those who came were the grass-roots people of Vanuatu; they farmed and saved money for this conference.
“We haven’t been in the crowd like this before, and this is also the first time for many of us to visit Fiji,” he said.
The Global conference is a two year event.
The church has been running for 15 years now, and this is their sixth Global conference since it started in 2002.
