Escott Quarters

A tough battle looms in the Suva Rugby Union’s Escott Shield quarterfinals at the ANZ Stadium on Saturday.
The SRU yesterday confirmed that the quarterfinals are:
Navy v Lomaiviti Green
Army Green v Regent Breakthrough
Police Blue v Marist
QVSOB v Covenant Blue
Defending champions Army Green put on a sterling performance during the final round of competition at Bidesi Park last Saturday.
Army Green manager Akeai Rokotakala said they were boosted with the inclusion of former Vodafone Fijian 7s forward Isake Katonibau who led the charge against Lomaiviti.
Police Blue after a big 43-7 win over Savura are wary of their
quarterfinal opponents Marist.
Police Blue coach Solomone Lute said they’re looking forward to the challenge.
“The players utilised their potential and made use of their scoring opportunities during our previous matches but we still need to control our set pieces,” Lute said.
“The last time we won the Escott Shield was in 2015 and the boys are in high spirits to make it to the final but as of now we’re aiming to take one game at a time.”
