A family of a missing patient from the Saint Giles Hospital in Suva is calling on the public to help locate their 24 year old family member.

According to police the young man Farhat Waseem has been missing from last week.

Father of Mr Waseem, Farook Faizal Nabi advised this newspaper, that he received a call from the medical facility advising him that his son was missing.

Mr Nabi said this was around 7pm, last week Thursday.

“We are pleading to the public if anyone has seen him to please call the authorities or me on 9369997.”

Mr Nabi and the family have been travelling around Suva, seeking information on this son.

Meanwhile, Mr Waseem was reported to Totogo Police Station by the family on Saturday 26th August 2017.

FIJI Police are requesting information that could help them locate a 24-year-old young man understood to have gone missing from a health facility this week.

Farhat Waseem was reported missing at the Totogo Police Station last Saturday.

However, Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the patient was reported missing by Ministry of Health officials after he went missing from the Saint Giles premises on Saturday August 24.

Member of the public with information can call Crime Stoppers on 919 or their nearest Police Station.
