Local Timber crowned bowling champs
For the first time Local Timber Distributors Limited (LTDL) won the Labasa Bowling Club business house competition on Sunday.
Labasa Bowling Club secretary Suresh Sharma said yesterday the LTDL beat Ram Motors Repair 20-9 after five weeks of competition.
“This is the third tournament of this year and the next one will be on September 14,” Sharma said.
“I would like to thank Unique Farm and Digging for sponsoring this competition in which ten teams participated.”
LTDL captain Mahesh Kumar after receiving $120 for the win said they are proud of their achievement.
“We’ve played four tournaments over the period of two years where we always lose in the finals. I thank my team members Rajendra Narayan, Ritesh Goundar, Jageet Narayan and Keshwan Mudaliar for their commitment and dedication. This is a milestone achievement for us and we hope to continue to work as a team and win more tournaments.”
