The Northern are on advantage after the draw as the away goals will apply and they just need to keep the match scoreless draw.

Playing in front of more than six hundred fans, Tavua started the match playing possession based football missing lots of opportunities.

Tavua kept the momentum of the match and with the support of their vocal fans but finished the first spell with 1-0 down after missing several opportunities.

The Gold Miners started the second half attacking and pressuring the Seaqaqa defense and in the 60th minute striker Maikeli Sivi was fouled inside the penalty box saw referee John Tapure pointing for a spot kick.

Midfielder Marika Rawasoi stoou up to take the spot and he neatly netted the ball past diving Seaqaqa goalkeeper Osea Navuso to level the score.

The Saroj Kumar side continued to hunt for the winner, but lack of finishing cost them the 3 points.

Tavua will play Seaqaqa on Saturday at 2.30pm at Subrail Park in Labasa in the return leg.
