Tourism Fiji’s Singapore representative Eelian Lee was in Fiji for a week on a familiarisation (Famil) trip.

Her experience with Singapore based, Xzodus Pte Ltd specialising in destination marketing and consultation for travel, tourism and the hospitality industry is hugely beneficial for Fiji.

Assisting Ms Lee in her role and also in Fiji was Janie Long, who has a strong background in the airline, destination marketing and education industry.

Ms Lee said: “I’m excited to be here in Fiji and to have travelled around the country and experienced first-hand Fiji’s famous warm hospitality and ability to connect with the people. This experience will greatly benefit me in my work to continue to market Fiji in Singapore.”

To improve Fiji’s brand and presence in the Singapore, Tourism Fiji is focusing on increasing its efforts in the region.

In this regard, the launch of Fiji Airways direct flights to Singapore is a great boost.

Tourism Fiji Chief Executive Matthew Stoeckel said: “Eelian’s trip has also given her insight about our Tourism Industry and the opportunity to meet stakeholders, partners and build her contact base here in Fiji. We are happy that she enjoyed herself while in Fiji.

“She visited properties along the Coral Coast and in the Mamanucas and enjoyed the experiences these regions have to offer.”

Ms Lee will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between Fiji and Singapore in assisting with Fiji’s brand.
