The Walk On Walk Strong (WOWS) Kids organisation for children held its Wonderland Ball at the Fiji Museum yesterday.
The theme of the charity ball was ‘Wonderland or black and gold.’
The chief guest for the evening was the Prime Minister’s wife Mary Bainimarama.
Many organisations and individuals attended the ball in the support of helping the WOWS kids to fundraise money to assist kids that are diagnosed with cancer.
Mrs Bainimarama said: “Cancer is a terrible disease and it is tragic when it strikes children.
“Some childhood cancers that were once deadly can now be brought to complete remission like leukaemia, which was a death sentence not many years ago”, she said
“Today children with leukaemia can be cured.”
