A 24-year-old man charged with a count each of aggravated robbery and theft of a motor vehicle was remanded by the Nasinu Magistrates Court on Friday.
Sekove Tawake appeared before Magistrate Sufia Hamza.
Tawake is alleged to have robbed a person of cash and at the time of robbery, had used a knife. He had also dishonestly appropriated a navy blue Toyota Succeed taxi valued at $22,000.
The alleged incident occurred on August 29 at Nasinu.
Police prosecutor Inspector Jiten Singh served full phase disclosures and made an application to transfer the matter to the High Court in Suva.
The case has been adjourned to September 15, for first call at theHigh Court in Suva.
