Chandan Teams Up With Anuve

Vodafone Fijian football Under-20 squad member Kishan Chandan is using the Carpenters Finance Labasa Sanatan tournament to keep him fit.
He is playing for Anuve Sanatan in the nine-day tournament.
“It is an honour for me to join my village team who have been participating in this tournament for more than 30 years,” the Year 12 student of All Saints Secondary School said.

“Taking part helps me prepare for the Fijian Under-20 trials,”Chandan said.
Anuve Sanatan coach Bimal Chand said most of the players are students.
“All the players are originally from Anuve and we believe in developing talents in our village and giving them the opportunity,” Chand said.
“The first and the last time our team won the tournament was in 1990.
“This year we aim to take the trophy back home.
“So far played a scoreless draw against TBL Valebasoga and I would like to thank our sponsors Bharti Timber Supplies and Safe Tech Electricals for their support.”
