Drua Set On Rising

The Fiji Airways Drua head coach, Senirusi Seruvakula, is confident of a positive outcome in the second round of the Australian National Rugby Championship on Saturday.
The Fijian Drua takes on Melbourne Rising at the Harlequin Oval in Melbourne at 7pm.
Following their 36-45 defeat against Brisbane City in the first round, Seruvakula said they now know the level of competition and the boys are all geared up for the next match.
“We beat Brisbane City in some areas and gave them a good run in the second half,” Seruvakula said.
“It was our first game in the NRC competition. Now we understand how the game is played and we need to lift our preparation.
“I told the boys nothing is impossible whether we are up against Super Rugby or Wallabies players, we will be ready as we are not here to make up the numbers.
“We showed Brisbane City that we can be potent on attack.”

The Nasautoka, Wainibuka, native believes discipline and defence are two areas they will need to work on.
“Those key areas cost us the game. We can’t afford to be yellow carded. We need to maintain discipline and we also need to work on our defence structures,” he added.
Captain John Stewart has also laid the challenge for the Rising.
“We made our debut, test the level of competition. We will need to go back and regroup for the second round.
“We have been talking with the players on how to counter Melbourne Rising. Everything is possible and we will give them a good run.”
