$24K For Sanatan Tournament

Shree Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha (SSDPS) Labasa branch spent over $24,000 to host the nine-day Carpenters Finance Labasa Sanatan tournament this year.
The annual tournament began last Saturday at Subrail Park in Labasa and will end on Sunday with a grand finale at 3:30pm.
Tournament chairman Mor Singh said the number of teams participating have increased over the years.
“We’ve to go out of the way to secure more sponsorship to host such big tournament,” Singh said.
“Last year we had 27 teams and spent close to $18,000.
“The purpose of organising this tournament is to get people together. We have teams coming from Bua, Dreketi and Seaqaqa.”

Pool 7: Namara, Batinikama, C.F Nagigi, G.M.H Shiv Shakti, Tabucola;
Pool 8: Vunimoli, Deep River, Vunicuicui, Gyaan Deepak Buca.
