The Pacific Rugby League Tri-Nation Series tickets will be on sale from September 11 at the Fiji Sports Council office.

The tri nation series between the Australia Kangaroos, Vodafone Fijian Bati and Papua New Guinea Kumuls will be held at the ANZ Stadium on October 14.

Tickets will be sold at $120 grandstand, $50 concrete embankment, $20 grass embankment and $5 for children under 12 years.

Fiji National Rugby League chief executive Timoci Naleba calls on members of the public to book their tickets now to enjoy three test matches on the same night.

“This event is unique, meaning there’s never been three test matches played in just one occasion. I don’t know if that’s going to happen anywhere else in the world but we are doing it in Fiji.

“You buy one ticket and you enjoy three test matches and it’s not just any test matches but games between the world’s champions Australia Kangaroos, Vodafone Fijian Bati and the Kumuls,” Naleba said.

He also mentioned this would be a great opportunity for fans to meet their favourite NRL players.

“People don’t have to go to Australia and spend thousands of dollars to watch these three great teams in the Oceania and watch players like Greg Inglis, Jarryd Hayne, Cameron Smith, Billy Slater and the Sims brothers.

“This will give the opportunity to the public to actually meet them.”

Kangaroos chartered flight

The Australia Kangaroos will arrive at Nausori airport in a chartered Fiji Airways flight on October 12.

“The Kangaroos have actually chartered a flight from Brisbane to Nausori with 120 people.

“It’s not only the team but they are coming with their fans as well,” Naleba confirmed.

The Kangaroos’ officials were in the country last week inspecting the venue and were impressed.

“They were happy with facilities at the ANZ Stadium.”

The Australians will stay at the Grand Pacific Hotel.

Fan day

The Vodafone Fijian Bati and PNG Kumuls fan day is scheduled for October 10 at the ANZ Stadium while Australia will meet their fans on October 13.
