Reps Need To Cope: Baber

Vodafone Fijian 7s coach Gareth Baber is happy with players in camp in Sigatoka.
Senior players in camp are Apisai Domolailai, Seremaia Tuwai, Amenoni Nasilasila, Mesulame Kunavula and Kalioni Nasoko. Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Jasa Veremalua, Vatemo Ravouvou and Samisoni Viriviri are expected to join later this week.
Also in camp are Anare Tevita, Eroni Vucago, Setareki Batinisavu, Leo Naikasau and Samu Bale.
“I will want to see the players play and I will want to see how they cope in international competitions. There is a good competition in Munich, Germany,”Baber said.
“If I can get 30 healthy bodies throughout the year then I am in a good space.”
Baber wants Pacific sprint champion Banuve Tabakaucoro to perform well.
“It’s not me, it’s him on how he copes. I’m putting as much pressure on him to see if he can adapt quickly to the sevens game,” he said.
“It’s a short window of time to get people ready for the World Sevens Series, but I have spoken to Banuve and he has ambitions of staying in the game long term.
“I know a lot of people would love for him to be automatically included but he has got prove himself.”
