Southern Division Police netters retained the Fiji Police Force Women’s Inter-formation Tournament title at Subrail Park in Labasa yesterday.

The team defeated Eastern division 23-7 in the final.

Southern Division Police netball team manager Linieta Navonu thanked the Lord for the strength.

“We couldn’t have done it once again if it wasn’t the special grace and strength from God,” Navonu said.

“And not forgetting all the Police officers in the Southern Division who dedicated their time to cover our area of work so that we can participate in the two-day tournament.

“It is the first time this tournament has been organised in the North and for some of us, it is the first time for us to come to Labasa.

“We would like to dedicate this win to all the officers and our families in the Southern Division,” she said.

“We have been training for two months because we are serious of defending our title.”

Meanwhile, Eastern Division netball coach Savenaca Vunivesilevu commended the effort of the players.

“The players tried their best and we will definitely perform next year,” Vunivesilevu said..
