Wyndham Resort Denarau Island Honoured With Award

Wyndham Resort Denarau Island has been honoured with the prestigious Resort of the Year award at the Australian Timeshare and Holiday Ownership Council’s annual awards night.
Held in conjunction with the council’s annual industry conference at Kingsclif, New South Wales, Australia on September 6, the awards recognised exceptional performance and contributions within the timeshare industry.
“Wyndham Denarau Island is an enduring favourite among both our vacation owners and resort guests, and I am proud to see it continuing to receive this type of recognition,” said Matt Taplin, senior Vice President Hotel and Resort Operations and Property Development.
“We are delighted to have received the Resort of the Year award, which is testament to the personalised and memorable experiences the Wyndham Denarau Island team delivers to each and every guest.”
Wyndham Resort Denarau Island is a 201-apartment resort for the use of WorldMark South Pacific Club vacation owners and hotel guests, as well as vacation owners from the US based WorldMark, The Club.
Adding to its most recent accolade, the resort was honoured with the Travellers’ Choice Award 2017 by leading travel ratings and review website TripAdvisor.
It also ranked seventh out of the top 10 resorts in Fiji, and third in the list of family friendly Fijian hotels, and it remains TripAdvisor’s number one property on Denarau Island for the fourth consecutive year.
As well as the Resort of the Year award, Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific’s Human Resources and Customer Experience teams were also recognised, while President and managing director Barry Robinson was inducted into ATHOC’s Hall of Fame.
