The driver of a vehicle that veered off the Labasa-Dogotuki Road on Wednesday was airlifted to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva yesterday.

Police spokesman Ana Naisoro confirmed yesterday that the 38-year-old Kilikoso farmer from Macuata was admitted at the hospital.

“Last week Wednesday (September 6) along Labasa-Dogotuki Road, a vehicle driven by the farmer with passengers aged 27 and 17 whilst returning from Biaugunu, Saqani lost control and veered off the road,” Ms Naisoro said.

The 27-year-old was taken to Labasa Hospital, treated and sent home while the 17-year-old walked out without injury.

“Both passengers were from Natewa in Cakaudrove,” she said.
