The vehicle, a Honda Insight, is the latest vehicle to be completely destroyed by fire.
Police yesterday confirmed that the vehicle belonged to a company based in Nadi and was travelling along Sonaisali Road when the incident happened.
“The incident happened between 9.30pm–10pm on Saturday night as the vehicle was driven by a foreman,” Police said.
“The driver spotted smoke coming from the engine compartment.
“He got out of vehicle and the fire engulfed the entire vehicle.”
Police said an investigation was underway to determine the cause of the fire.
