A 38-year-old man charged for a count each of rape and sexual assault will have his trial heard from September 25 to September 29, 2017.
The accused appeared before Judge Justice Thushara Rajasinghe at the Suva High Court yesterday.
It is alleged that the accused on September 3, 2016 had unlawfully and indecently assaulted his wife’s 10-year-old sister.
State lawyer Eoghan Samisoni informed the court that they will be calling four witnesses.
The accused is represented by defence lawyer Jiten Reddy.
The matter will be called again later today for the state to confirm the date of trial.
