Nacebe Out Early

Peceli Nacebe’s hopes of showcasing his brilliant form in front of around 3000 fans was short-lived as he was stretched off in the third minute of the match against the New South Wales Country Eagles yesterday.
However, Nacebe said he should be back in action in two to three weeks’ time.
The star utility back had made two telling breaks in the opening minutes before succumbing to what is believed to be the dislocated ankle.
“As I was going for the ball near the tryline I got caught up in the tackle and somehow my body had all the weight on my ankle,” he said.
“I think I should be back in the next two to three weeks.
Following his injury Nacebe lay in pain and after been strapped up around the ankle area, he tried to walk but fell to the ground again.
He was stretched off the field to the awaiting ambulance and return from Sigatoka Hospital with his right leg in the cast.
Fiji Rugby Union sports medicine Dr William Kwoong said he would have to first look at the x-rays results before making any comment.
Nacebe was replaced by Kini Douglas.
