The Labasa Police football team are confident of winning the Fiji Police Force Interdistrict Championship which gets underway tomorrow at the Nasova Police grounds, Suva.

Labasa Police coach Vidya Pillay said yesterday that they’re bringing over an 18-member squad who want to win the IDC and repeat their three in a row win, which was from 2012 to 2014.

“We’re expecting to face tough competition but have prepared well to overcome every challenge that comes our way,” he said.

“We did reach the finals in 2015 and 2016 but because of silly mistakes we couldn’t win the tournament.

“This year we’re confident and we want to win and we won’t settle for anything less. Our aim is to win for our fellow police officers and families in the North.”
