Bail Extended For Alleged Baby Killer

A mother charged for the alleged murder of her newly born baby boy had her bail extended by the Suva High Court yesterday.

Sangeeta Devi appeared before Judge Justice Vincent Perera.

State counsel Eoghan Samisoni has sought for 14 days.

Devi is represented by defence counsel Mohammed Yunus.

The alleged incident took place on January 9 at Nasinu where Devi is allegedly to have killed her 2.5 kilogram newly born baby boy.

The case has been adjourned to October 4, for mention.
