A man charged with aggravated robbery had his matter forwarded to the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday.
John Taroni appeared before Judge Justice Riyaaz Hamza at the Suva High Court.
It is alleged that on September 3, this year, Taroni robbed a person of $250.
Taroni’s defence counsel filed an application that the matter be forwarded to the Suva Magistrates Court to which state counsel Moumita Chowdhury did not object to.
Justice Hamza had asked Ms Chowdhury if whether any weapons were used in the alleged robbery to which she said that no weapons were used.
Taroni has been remanded.
The case has been adjourned to September 26, for mention at the Suva Magistrates Court.
