Olympians Taliga, Mata Boost Drua

Rugby sevens Olympians Kitione Taliga and Viliame Mata are likely to make the Fiji Airways Drua line-up against Perth Spirit on Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.
Taliga joined the Fijian Drua camp last week but missed out in the third round Australian National Rugby Championship battle against NSW Country Eagles,
Coach Senirusi Seruvakula mentioned Taliga has shown consistency in training and is likely to fill in the first-five eighth position vacated by injured Peceli Nacebe.
The Nadroga native has been ruled out for three months and Seruvakula is expected to make a few changes against the defending champions today.
“Taliga has been doing okay. I will be looking at him again before I make my final decision,” Seruvakula said.
Seruvakula also confirmed Viliame Mata joined camp on Tuesday.
“There are few injuries in our forwards and I’m bringing in Mata to come in for training because Perth Spirit have big men in the forwards so I want to match that on Saturday ,” he added.

Also making his return in camp this week was Nadroga lock forward Peni Naulago who was injured last week.
“We’ve got to maintain our physicality in attack and ruthless defence in our defence areas and speed up the game,” Seruvakula added.
“NRC is a very fast game but we got our own style to speed up the game.”
Meanwhile the curtain-raiser match between the Classic Wallabies and the Waisale Serevi captained Fijian 7s legend team kicks off at 4:15pm and is followed by the match between Fijian Drua and Perth Spirit at 5pm.
