Fijian Legends captain Waisale Serevi reminded his fellow teammates yesterday to support the development plans laid by the Fiji Rugby Union.

The Fijian Legends will play Classic Wallabies in the curtain-raiser at 4:15pm before the Australia National Rugby Championship game between the Fiji Airways Drua and Perth Spirit at 5pm.

The curtain-raiser aims promote FRU six months campaign bid to host a World Sevens Series leg at the ANZ Stadium in 2020.

“Age is catching up and as we move closer to the grave. We have to thank God for giving us another chance to come and play together again.

“This is an emotional moment and I want to thank each and every one of you for accepting the invitation and coming forward to take part in this tournament for our country’s sake.

“I thank you all for coming and support rugby development plans in the country,” he added.

Serevi also stated there would be talks from outside the rugby fraternity regarding the development plans.

Royal Navy officer Manoa Satala left Scotland early this week to join his brothers today,

“It’s good to be home and I’m grateful to the Royal Navy for paying my air fare to come for this special match,” Satala said.
