A woman has scratched her way to $30,000 at Atlas Valelevu Lotto Agency in Nasinu after purchasing just a $2 ticket on Thursday morning.
Initially, Roselyn Khan, 35, won just $2 from her first ticket, but decided to use this to buy one more ticket.
It was this next ticket that won the major prize, sparking celebrations of delight.
A statement from Fiji Tattslotto said Ms Khan was in disbelief and screamed: “I’ve won, I’ve won,” upon scratching the winning ticket.
In the statement, it said Ms Khan will use the money to renovate her home, investing the rest towards her six-year-old son.
Ms Khan was unable to attend the presentation of the $30,000 cheque in Nasinu yesterday as she was in Tavua.
