Fiji Airways Drua captain John Stewart says they need to play simple and smart rugby against the Perth Spirit today.

The teams rounded off their preparation yesterday as they gear for battle in the fourth round of the Australia National Rugby Championships at the ANZ Stadium 5pm today.

“The boys need to work as a team, play simple, smart, stern in defence, strong in attack in attack and everything will take care of itself.

“Perth Spirit are the defending champions, they  will be strong and our fellow Fijian Isireli Naisarani will boost their performance. But we are ready for the challenge,” Stewart said.

With Fijian 7s Olympian Kitione Taliga’s inclusion, Stewart believes he would boost the backline.

“Taliga is a very talented player he will bring in a lot of depth to the backline.

“My main message to the boys in camp is to keep it simple and do the basics right and most importantly maintain our discipline,” Stewart said.
