The Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama will officially conduct the ground breaking ceremony of the brand new Namaka Market in Nadi on Wednesday.
Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Parveen Bala said the revamped market would cost $6 million.
“This is the extension to the existing market but a brand new market,” Mr Bala said.
“It will also consist of accommodation for female market vendors.
“The design is such that the stalls will be twice as big as the current one in Namaka.
“There will be small stalls where people can sell other stuff apart from their usual farm produce.”
