Fiji Times publisher Hank Arts, who is charged with sedition, filed a bail variation at the Suva High Court yesterday.
The matter was called before Judge Justice Thushara Rajasinghe.
Defence counsel Faizal Haniff informed the court that Arts wants to travel to Honolulu, Hawaii for a vacation from October 6 to October 17.
It is understood that he wants to go for his wedding anniversary celebrations.
State counsel Yogesh Prasad is to respond to the bail variation application by September 29.
The hearing for the bail variation is set for October 2.
