Nacamavuto wasn’t expecting To Win

Jone Nacamavuto has been named the second consolation prize winner of Fiji Sun’s Win a Chevrolet Sonic Car Promotion for the month of August.
The draw was done at Courts Mega branch in Samabula yesterday.
The promotion which ended on Saturday was a three month long promotion by Fiji Sun in partnership with Vision Motors and Courts.
Mr Nacamavuto was surprised to receive a call from Fiji Sun when he was informed that he had won a Hisense 272 liter worth $1135.
The 77-year-old said he was at home with his family after Sunday lunch when he received a call.
He ran out of words with joy and excitement as he heard “Congratulations” on the phone.
Mr Nacamavuto said he was not expecting the win because taking part in the promotion was one of his hobbies.
He said he loves reading the Fiji Sun Newspaper and that’s where he saw the promotion so he gave a try.
He dropped few entries under his name at the promotion box in MHCC.
The entries have now closed and the third consolation prize along with the main prize will be drawn this month.
Fiji Sun General Manager Advertising and Business Development, Rachna Lal, said the response to the Fiji Sun car promotion has been phenomenal.
“We have received such a large amount of entries which is unexpected,” she said.
“This is perhaps one of the most successful promotions run by the Fiji Sun and we thank our supportive readers for their contributions.
“We will continue to bring something worthwhile for our readers in months to come.”
Courts director of marketing, Anil Senewiratne, said he was glad to have been a part of the promotion which also meant giving something back to the community.
“For just a $1 spent on Fiji Sun on Saturday, you could participate and will this brand new Chevrolet Sonic from Vision Motors,” he said.
The draw was done by one of the Courts customers who was at the Courts Mega sale in Samabula.
