Design Engineering Lautoka last night named a powerful 22-member squad for the Courts Interdistrict Championship. The selection was based on the players discipline, attitude, dedication and performance.

Following the announcement, Lautoka Football Association president Abdul Kadar confirmed that Sairusi Bokini, Jone Vesikula and Christopher Wasasala will join the camp following the Ratu Sukuna Bowl challenge in Suva.

Kadar said it was hard selecting the final squad as all players had shown immense dedication throughout the training sessions.

“Basically the selection was done by the executives and the coaching team and it was hard to choose,” he said.

Rejoining the team are Edwin Justin, Poasa Bainivalu and Josefata Dugucagi while South Sudan’s Majok Magot Piok flew into the country from Australia on Monday to join the Blues.

Kadar said the opening game against Suva would be a tough introduction into this year’s IDC.

“I reckon it will be a great battle between the two cities.”

Kadar said the team are ready and the new inclusions were fitting in well with the present squad.

Lautoka will have a formidable strike force in Piok, Dave Radrigai,  Wasasala, wily Valerio Nawatu, Samuela Drudru and Siotame Kubu and it will be a headache for coach Kamal Swamy to pick the first 11 players.

The 22-member Design Engineering Lautoka side are:

Sairusi Bokini, Iliesa Lino, Zibraaz Sahib, Epeli Kosa, Poasa Bainivalu, Jone Vesikula, Dave Radriqai, Kavaia Rawaqa, Lisari Qalica, Christopher Wasalasala, Valerio Nawatu,
Ilaitia Tuilau, Josevata Dugucagi, Samuela Drudru, Majok Piok, Cyrus Singh, Kolinio Sivoki, Siotame Kubu,
Edward Justin, Pranil Nadi, Viliame Tabucala, Beniamino Matenaqara.
