Two people are in Police custody after Customs at Nadi Airport intercepted a parcel alleged to be containing drugs on Thursday afternoon.

In Police custody is a 29-year-old man of Jittu Estate in Raiwaqa and a 33-year-old woman of Delailabasa.

Police yesterday confirmed that the duo were at a freight company collection bay to pick up the parcel sent from Livermore, California, United States of America and  were taken in for questioning.

The parcel containing two clear plastic zip lock bags was taken to the Fiji Police Forensic Laboratory for analysis.

Police said that the duo was interviewed under caution.
