Towering Melbourne Storm prop Tui Kamikamica is eager to make his debut at the Rugby League World Cup in Australia, which starts on October 27.

The Somosomo, Taveuni native was among the 23 overseas based- Fijian players named in the 25-member Vodafone Fiji Bati squad for the World Cup.

“I got a call from the coach after the Fiji Residents and Overseas Bati match and I was so proud when told that I was selected,” the former Queen Victoria School student said.

Kamikamica said he has worked hard to make the team.

“This is my first year to play for the Melbourne Storm in the NRL and I thank God for giving me the strength to reach this far.

“A strong squad has been named and it’s going to be tough to make the run on side.”
