Nasamaki happy to win fete to help the children

Tertiary student Inise Nasamaki from Rarawai Sector was crowned the 13th Miss Ba Farmers Queen on Saturday night.
Ms Nasamaki, 20, dedicated her win to all her family, friends and supporters who had supported her during the week long of festivities.
“This crown comes as a surprise as I was not expecting it,” Ms Nasamaki said.
She said it was a pleasure to represent the farmers of her sector.
“Every year, the Farmers Carnival Committee organises this event to raise funds for the under privileged children,” she said.
“I am happy to be part of this programme as the objective is rewarding. It is our responsibility as a community to support such a cause.
“Every child should be educated and it is our collective role to first help those in our communities.”
She thanked her fellow contestants, the committee, sponsors and the people of Ba for supporting and organising the carnival.
The first Ba Farmers Carnival was organised in 2004.
