4R Electrical Ba’s dismal run this season seems to have ended after they produced a clinical display of football in 3-0 thumping of defending champions Labasa in the Courts Inter-District Championship yesterday.

Displaying brilliant football for what they are known for, the ‘Men in Black’ scored perhaps their best three goals of the season.

In the 54th minute, Manasa Nawaikula scored the first goal and the lead was extended in the 71st minute by Sitiveni Cavuilagi.

The third goal was scored by Samuela Nabenia in the 83rd minute.

They completely outplayed the Babasiga Lions.

The Lions were left to play with 10 men after Sitiveni Rakai was red carded in the 83rd minute.

Comments:

4R Electrical Ba manager , Arvind Singh said it was a tough game and defeating the defending champions by such a margin was impressing.

“The players played their hearts out and I am happy with the win. We are taking one game at a time and Rewa is next and it will be tough game.

“We have good chances of qualifying for the semifinals and I urge the Ba fans to come out and support the team.”

Labasa coach, Iosefo Vosaboto said;

“It is a setback for us and really disappointing. We had our chances to win but we will try to focus and move on.”
