Coach Waits for Vularika’s clearance

Fiji Airways Drua head coach Senirusi Seruvakula is waiting for the medical clearance of first-choice halfback Serupepeli Vularika.
Vularika is tipped to make his Drua debut against Queensland Country on Saturday, October 21, at Churchill Park, Lautoka.
“Vularika have been doing his rehabilitation but we’re waiting for the medical confirmation before he starts running next week,” Seruvakula said.
The no-nonsense coach said it would be a tough journey from now on as the best teams try to secure their semifinal spots.
“It will get tougher and tougher with the game next week as we will be playing one of the top teams in the NRC. It will be tough at this stage as we’re fighting for a semifinal spot.”
Also undergoing their rehab are, prop Kalivati Tawake, Apisai Tauyavuca and Avete Daveta.
“They have minor injuries and will train again next week to see if they’re fit enough to play next Saturday,” Seruvakula added.
EUROPE TOUR
Fiji Airways Flying Fijians head coach John McKee is expected to select his Europe tour squad next week. Seruvakula is adamant that most of his key players will be included.
“McKee will name his squad so if our players join the Flying Fijians they will miss the game but we’ve players from the extended squad who will have the opportunity to showcase their talents,” Seruvakula said.
“We always want these players to play test matches so getting a nod into the Flying Fijians squad, will be a dream come true.”
