PINKTOBER: Singh Paints Ford XR6 Turbo To Raise Awareness

Most people have opted to wear Pinktober ribbon pins across their chest or raise awareness by organising morning tea, walks etcetera.
But, Roy Singh has decided to take the month-long initiative an accelerator further.
The operations manager of Hot Springs Hire Services Limited, has coloured parts of his Ford XR6 Turbo pink with stickers to create awareness for breast cancer.
He was inspired by large corporate organisations and thought to take the responsibility to create awareness as an individual.
Mr Singh said there are a lot of people out there who need support for breast cancer and a small awareness campaign will encourage them in many ways.
“I wanted to encourage people to get tested for breast cancer before it is too late,” Mr Singh said.
“On the other hand, as an individual, I did not know what to do to create awareness so I discussed it with my wife, Visha Singh, and came up with the idea of doing signage on my vehicle.
“It is very important as together we can make a big difference in someone’s life and the answer is out there.
“Many people are shy to talk about cancer and we hope this awareness will encourage them share and get the correct treatment,” Mr Singh said.
He’s urged people to donate or support the Fiji Cancer Society that will help the organisation fulfil its work.
